With the transfer of David Luiz to Paris Saint-Germain being confimed, the player has now become the most expensive defender in club football history surpassing his international team-mate Thiago Silva. Thiago Silva previously was the most expensive footballer who was bought by PSG for £35.3m from AC Milan in 2012.
