Lionel Messi tops the charts for highest goals scored in the league, ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo, amongst the top-6 leagues in Europe. The Argentinian scored an incredible 46 goals in La Liga at a rate of 1.44 goals/match. He became the first footballer in history to score in consecutive matches against every team in the league when he scored against Celta Vigo on 30th March.
There are a couple of surprise names in the top-1o. Wilfried Bony (Vitesse) and G. Pellè (Feyenoord) have had fantastic seasons in the Eredivisie, scoring 31 and 27 goals respectively. Bony has scored his goals at a rate of 1 goal/match, bettered only by Messi.
