It was a Saturday of mixed fortunes for the top two in La Liga as Gameweek 6. While Barcelona comfortably beat Sporting 5-0 in Gijon, Real Madrid were held 2-2 away at Las Palmas. Meanwhile, Athletic Bilbao beat Sevilla 3-1 to deny the Andalusian club yet another win on away soil.
The results see Los Blancos’ lead at the top of the table reduced to just one point. Zinedine Zidane’s men are one of three teams yet to lose a game but two draws see them top of the table with 14 points from six games while their Catalan rivals are on 13 points and Athletic Bilbao are third with 12 points.
