Stats: Thiago Alcantara's 2012/13 season

With Spanish U-21 international Thiago Alcantara looking set to join Manchester United, let’s have a look at some of his stats from the 2012/13 season.

Thiago has assisted more goals last season than PFA player of the year nominee Michael Carrick (4). His pass success rate is also better than Carrick’s (87%). Though it may seem unfair to compare United’s holding midfielder with Alcantara, it is interesting to note that of only Xavi has a higher pass success rate than him amongst all the Barcelona central midfielders.
