Luca Toni believes that his Fiorentina teammate Stevan Jovetic should not take a step down by moving to North London side, Arsenal.

Jovetic openly admitted his desire to leave the club and a move to Arsenal is likely. But Toni feels that Arsenal and Florentina are on the same page and therefore a transfer to the Gunners will not help boost his career.

Toni wants his teammate to stay at the club but should he decide to leave, he thinks Jovetic should rather opt for Manchester United or Chelsea.

The former Bayern Munich striker said: “I tell him to think carefully before leaving Florence, as there is an important project here.

“If he has to leave, then make it for a real top club. Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United fit that bill, but Arsenal are not better than Fiorentina.”
