Liverpool forward Luis Suarez has decide not to appeal the 10-match ban imposed on him by the FA. The Uruguayan, his representatives and Liverpool FC had until midday today to accept or contest the charge, and they have chosen the former.
A statement from the FA reads: “Liverpool forward Luis Suarez has not appealed the 10-match ban. The suspension begins with immediate effect and applies to Liverpool FC’s next ten domestic first-team fixtures. The FA intends to publicise the Independent Regulatory Commission’s written reasons in due course.”
Suarez received said ban after he was found biting Chelsea defender, Branislav Ivanovic, during the 2-2 draw at Anfield on the 21st of April. This is the second time the striker is facing charges after biting a player, the first was when he played at Ajax Amsterdam. He received a similar ban there too.
