Swansea 0-0 Chelsea: No Complaints - Swansea well done

Eden Hazard of Chelsea (R) is sent off by referee Chris Foy after kicking a ball boy during the Capital One Cup Semi-Final Second Leg match between Swansea City and Chelsea at Liberty Stadium on January 23, 2013 in Swansea, Wales.

Yes I am congratulating Swansea on the win! Did they deserve to win? Yes they did, as Chelsea never created enough chances tonight, and enough clear cut opportunities over two legs.

Swansea played both legs perfect. They defended in numbers, stayed compact and looked to hit Chelsea on the counter attack in BOTH games, and it paid off for them. OK we made two defensive mistakes to gift them their goals, but this is a Cup semi-final and sometimes that’s all it takes!

Chelsea huffed and puffed in the first leg, and in this one tonight, never really looked like scoring, did we!.

Once again, Chelsea, under Rafa Benitez, failed to find ways to break down the opposition who get in defensive positions with plenty of men behind the ball, and he’s just added the League Cup to the Club World Cup as competitions he and the team have thrown away.

Congrats Swansea for playing as a team, for playing for each other and playing TWO perfect games!
