GWFX, which is one of the core brands under the fast growing financial services provider Goldenway, will now sponsor Swansea City, which would be the club’s largest sponsorship deal in its 101-year history.
The deal was announced on Friday along with the first look of club’s new kit for the 2013/14 season. Having a partnership would help both parties grow their presence in existing territories and also expand into new markets, mainly the Greater China area through a number of joint initiatives.
Swansea City vice-chairman, Leigh Dineen, said: “We are delighted to confirm Goldenway as the club’s main sponsor-“It is the first time Goldenway has invested in football sponsorship and we are honoured that they have entrusted us to carry their brand into the Barclays Premier League and the world stage.”
The Goldenway logo will be displayed on the front of all Swansea City’s match and replica shirts for the new Barclays Premier League season.
Goldenway UK Director, Darren Vickers, said: “Goldenway are excited to be the new official sponsor of Swansea City AFC. The Goldenway ethos shares the same spirit and values as Swansea and we see sponsoring one of the Premier League’s most exciting sides as a key marketing opportunity to help communicate our corporate philosophy.
“We pride ourselves on the speed and quality of service and we consider the high profile partnership between a Forex company and a football club as a natural fit for the future ambitions of both the club and business.”
