Jose Mourinho took the League Cup very seriously during his first spell as the Chelsea manager. It seems that it has not changed because the Portuguese is expected to name a strong starting line-up for the third-round match against Swindon Town. Unlike in the past, this will not be an easy encounter against a lower league opposition at Stamford Bridge.

Mourinho hinted that the starting line-up is set to be full of world-class internationals like Fernando Torres and Juan Mata; players who did not take part in the 2-0 win over Fulham.
Playing at their home (County Ground) will be a massive boost for Swindon, and Chelsea are unlikely to underestimate their threat.
Assistant coach Steve Holland said that there was an opportunity for a young player to be involved. After having just returned from a successful loan spell, 20-year-old defender Tomas Kalas is likely to be used at centre back. Even with all the rotation, Chelsea’s team could be mightily impressive.
