Switzerland return to action in the UEFA Euro 2024 qualifiers when they host Belarus at Kybun Park on Sunday (October 15).
Murat Yakin’s men are one of eight unbeaten nations in the qualifiers. Switzerland strengthened their stake for a place in the Germany finals next year, cruising to a 3-0 win over Andorra on September 12.
The Nati have gone unbeaten in six qualifying games, winning four, with their last defeat coming in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in December, losing 6-1 to Portugal. With 14 points from a possible 18, Switzerland are atop Group I, one point above second-placed Romania.
Meanwhile, Belarus’ dreams of a place in the Euro finals suffered a blow, as they were held to a goalless draw by Romania on Thursday.
Carlos Alos Ferrer’s men have won only one of their seven qualifying games, losing four. With three games to go, Belarus are fifth in the group, picking up five points.
