The final game week is here and we have 3 interesting clashes to round off the season. United 4th Phase have already secured promotion and third spot in the table while Tornadoes also ended the season on a high note with wins over Kammanhattan and Dragons in the final weeks of the campaign.
Bangalore City FC B and Simba Sports FC will fight it out for the title when they go head to head in what is potentially a final.
6:00 PM – Royal Eagles FC v Dragons AFC
The first of the three matches we have for you has Royal Eagles taking on Dragons AFC. Royal Eagles haven’t had the best season in their inaugural campaign in TAL but take away a lot of positives as they try and revamp their squad for next season.
Dragons have lost two in a row after their purple patch that saw them go 5 games without conceding a goal. They will look to end the season on a high note but with both teams only playing for pride, the contest could swing either way although Dragons will go into the game as favourites.
Crystal Ball: Royal Eagles FC (1) – (2) Dragons AFC
7:15 PM – Simba Sports FC v Bangalore City FC B
The headliner of the day (and potentially match of the season) has league leaders Simba taking on title rivals Bangalore City FC B, who are only a point behind them. Simba know going into the game that a draw would suffice for them to lift the title but they will be gunning for the win with bragging rights at stake too.
Bangalore City FC B would like to emulate their compatriots who won Division 3 on their first attempt but the pressure of the final day might be too much for the young squad. Both managers – Joe Lubala and Bo Rennes – are experienced and bring a lot to the table so in all fairness the strategy each of them uses might be bigger than any individual player on the pitch.
Having said that, the stars of both teams will need to show up in what is their biggest game in TAL to date. Papi Keita (BCFC) and Zuvundru Victor (Simba) will be expected to bring in the goals while Ibrhaim Konate (BCFC) and Mpembele Kapunga (Simba) will be tasked with stopping those players from scoring.
Given both their styles of play, the ‘brains’ on the pitch – Bruce Mabengo (Simba) and Worthem B (BCFC) – will have the biggest impact on the flow of the game. All in all, this should be a cracker of a game with all the intensity you would expect in the final of a cup.
Crystal Ball: Simba Sports (2) – (2) Bangalore City FC B
8:30 PM - Brothers United v The Aces
To wrap up things for Season 4 we have Brothers United taking on The Aces. Both teams are safe from the red zone and will be playing for pride, which means we should expect a carefree, attacking game. Both teams will be inclined to try out new tactics as they look to prepare for next season. Both teams are evenly matched and we expect a high-scoring draw.
Crystal Ball: Brothers United (3) – (3) The Aces
