Terry return to signal change in fortunes?

John Terry returns to the Chelsea side after serving his four game ban and for me it couldn’t have come at a better time. Chelsea have been conceding goals in recent games and we need the Captain back to get in there and organise.

We have seen the combination of Gary Cahill and David Luiz together and last Saturday a new pairing of Branislav Ivanovic and Gary Cahill, but for me JT is still the best centre back we have at this club.

Don’t get me wrong, Gary Cahill is getting there and the improvement in his game has been noticeable, but Chelsea need John Terry at the heart of our defence.

There is no one better to organise the players, to get on players backs when they aren’t performing well or to give them a lift and when he isn’t in the side, and I personally feel it’s something we lack.

I would like to see JT and Gary Cahill play together more than they have done and would like to see them both start tomorrow night.

Chelsea need a solid base to build from tomorrow, and with JT back, it’s definitely the right start in my opinion.

If we can get the right result AND keep a clean sheet, we will be back on track ahead of Liverpool at the Bridge on Sunday.
