Thailand will host Lebanon at the Thammasat Stadium in Pathum Thani on Thursday for an international friendly. They are looking to extend their winning run to five games.
Ranked 96th in the world, the War Elephants have been on a good run of form lately. They beat Singapore in their final World Cup qualifying game of the second round back in June, although it was not enough to seal their progression into the next round.
But that didn't stop Thailand, who came back to overcome Vietnam in the 2024 LPBank Cup before seeing off the Philippines and Syria in the 2024 King's Cup on home turf.
Having gone six games in a row without a win earlier this year, the ASEAN outfit are on a four-game winning run at the moment. They will be aiming to finish the year on a strong note by winning both their remaining games before kicking off the ASEAN Championship in December.
On the other hand, Lebanon are set to play for the first time in two months, as both their 2024 VFF Tri-Nations Series games with India and Vietnam were canceled in October.
It's been a tough year for the Cedars, ranked 115th in the world, as they've won just twice in 10 official games. One was a 4-0 drubbing of Bangladesh in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign, while the other was a 1-0 win over Tajikistan in the 2024 Merdeka Tournament.
