#7. Andre Schurrle – €32.00 million
The 25-year-old German international who plays as a forward at Vfl Wolfsburg has plied his trade in both Germany and England. A youth product of Mainz, he went on to join Bayer Leverkusen where his performances attracted several clubs before Chelsea finally secured his services. Frustrated with a lack of game time, he opted for a move back to the Bundesliga when Die Wolf came calling.
He has been fairly inconsistent and hasn’t been able to justify his large transfer fee, although he still has time on his side as well as the skills to turn his game around. A strong figure, he likes to dribble and cut inside and has good shooting ability. Had a fairly poor debut season with him scoring once and assisting 3 times across all competitions. He bettered the next season scoring 12 times and assisting a further 7 goals.
