#6. Renato Sanches – €35.00 million
The 18-year-old starlet who was awarded the Best Young Player of the tournament at the UEFA Euro 2016 a few days back joined Bayern Munich from Benfica for €35 million ahead of a host of other clubs including Manchester United before the tournament in France. He has already shown glimpses of potential greatness following his move as he became the youngest Portuguese to play in, score in and win an international tournament. He also holds the record of being a player leaving the domestic league for the highest transfer fee.
The 1.76m youngster is primarily a central midfielder but has added dimensions of versatility which enable him to also operate in defensive, attacking as well as wide roles at such a young age. A highly talented youngster on the rise, his skills, and technical abilities are still raw which is very justified given a player of his age. If he keeps his chin up and stays humble, he could become one of the greatest ever players.
