Antoine Griezmann
The former Atlético Madrid footballer saw his stocks rise after France’s World Cup winning campaign in 2018, where he played a pivotal role in the team. A lot of big clubs were interested in Antoine Griezmann, but pretty soon, it was clear that Barcelona were the favourites to land the Frenchman. The deal finally materialized in the summer of last year, when Griezmann joined the Catalans from Atlético for £107.7m.

The Frenchman initially struggled to adapt to his new team but has since found his footing at Camp Nou. Griezmann has scored 12 goals and registered 4 assists from 31 appearances for Barcelona so far and will need to step up as Barcelona attempt to address the lengthy absence of Suárez. The Frenchman has played on the left side of the front three in most games this season but has also operated in the center forward role on the odd occasion.
Griezmann started his career with Real Sociedad and move to Atlético Madrid in July 2014. The Frenchman played at the Wanda Metropolitano for 5 seasons, scoring 133 goals in 257 appearances and became a household name. He signed a 5-year-deal with Barcelona last summer and currently earns £2.9m per month, making him the 3rd highest paid footballer in 2020.

Inspired by Diego Maradona, Deepungsu played as an attacking midfielder for his local club at subdivision level in his initial years and scored an important goal or two. However, his all-time favorite footballer is Lionel Messi, and evidently, he feels Argentina's glory in 2022 is his favorite FIFA World Cup moment for fulfilling his long-standing dream. He is also an ardent East Bengal fan.
Deepungsu has been a Manchester United supporter since the year 2000. Unsurprisingly, his favorite manager is Sir Alex Ferguson and the Scotsman helped him get through some of the toughest days of his life. Like the fiery Scot, Deepungsu also leaves no stone unturned when it comes to accuracy in articles and only relies on credible sources.
Despite believing in Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to create an iconic rivalry, Deepungsu reckons no one can match the longevity of Messi and Ronaldo. He spends his leisure time writing about life on his blog, reading books, and playing the guitar.
