Former Bul­garia inter­na­tional striker Dim­itar Ber­batov could now be on his way out of Old Traf­ford and on his way to Italian Serie A side Fiorentina, according to reports. His agent Emil Danchev says that Fiorentina are will­ing to give him a deal that will keep the goal poacher at the Sta­dio Arte­mio Fran­chi out­fit until the end of the 2013–14 sea­son.

Bla­go­ev­grad born Dim­itar Ber­batov has only one year remain­ing of his cur­rent con­tract at Manchester United and the club must decide whether to sell the increas­ingly frus­trated foot­baller in the near future or lose him for noth­ing at the end of the present cam­paign. An aggress­ive and power­ful cent­ral attacker, Ber­batov has con­trib­uted 48 Eng­lish Premier League goals in 108 matches for Manchester United since he was brought to Old Traf­ford from Tot­ten­ham Hot­spur for an estim­ated trans­fer fee of £30 mil­lion back in the autumn of 2008. The Balkan player has also made his mark on the inter­na­tional scene by scor­ing an incred­ible 48 goals in 77 full appear­ances for his nat­ive Bul­garia.
