The father of Radamel Falcao, Radamel Garcia has claimed that the Rojiblanco player has the “dream” of “playing at Real Madrid”, but a move to the Premier League was the most likely eventuality for his son.
In an interview with a programme called El Gran debate de Todelar, the Colombian revealed that Madrid would be the favorites for his signature, if they show an interest in Falcao.
“[Falcao] will change teams at the end of the year,” he revealed.
“I understood that Manchester City and Chelsea were interested, but his main objective is to play at Real Madrid.” “His aim is to play for Real Madrid, if not given he would choose English football”, surprised Radamel García in the Colombian media.
Perhaps embarrassed by his father’s unexpected confession, Falcao took to his official Twitter account to express his commitment to his current club.
The Colombian hot-shot made an instant impact at the Vicente Calderon since joining from Porto last season, scoring 39 goals in all competitions as the Rojiblancos lifted the Europa League trophy in Bucharest. He joined the Madrid side for a whooping €47 million – surely a team would need to pay more than €50 million to secure his services.
