We all know Brazil are renovating several stadiums for the World Cup, but it seems now they’ll be renovating, somewhat amusingly, a few planes too!
The Brazilian Air Force will renovate five E-99 airborne early warning and control aircraft for the tournament as an added security measure.
The planes to be renovated were bought a decade ago, for defending the Amazon forest region!
Sao Paulo, the Brazilian club, launched their 2013/14 recently. Many clubs do so every year, so what’s surprising about this, you ask?
They decide to kick-off the new season by sending their kit into space!
The club attached the kit to a balloon, along with a camera, and sent it flying 30,000 feet into space!

We have a lot to be grateful for in 2013, it seems. After all, it has bought to an end two of the longest (and most irritating, might we say), sagas of the past year or two.
First up was the Guardiola saga, which ended with a move to Bayern Munich for the ex-Barcelona coach. In between were the millions of stories connecting him to every club in the top 5 of the Premier League.
Second was the Wesley Sneijder saga of course, which ended after the Dutchman put pen to paper on a deal that took him to Turkish club Galatasaray.
No more Sneijder to United stories. Thank goodness for that. Even Liverpool showed firm interest reportedly, but were clearly beaten by Galatasaray when it came to matching his wages.
Wilfried Zaha seems all set to complete his move to Manchester United soon. Sir Alex Ferguson reportedly skipped his team’s training stint in Qatar to meet Crystal Palace officials and finalise the move.
The transfer fee is expected to be around £12 million, with a few add-ons based on appearances and also a loan back to Palace until the summer.
Arsene Wenger, meanwhile, has backtracked on his interest by claiming Arsenal were never interested in the winger.
“We were never in for Zaha. Never,” said Wenger. “If Zaha goes to Manchester United, good luck to him.”
Mario Balotelli’s agent, Mino Raiola, meanwhile has claimed that Manchester City will not sell the 22-year-old striker to AC Milan this month.
Milan had reportedly shown strong interest in taking the troublesome striker back to Italy, but City’s asking price of €37 million seems to have put them off.
