Ronaldo wants £400,000k a week

If ESPN is to be believed, then Cristiano Ronaldo has demanded an incredible £400,000-a-week to stay at Real Madrid.

That would mean doubling an already massive salary of £200,000, but with the abolition of the ‘Beckham Law’ taking place soon, the Portugal star will have to earn at least £400,000 to have any kind of pay raise effected.

It remains to be seen if Madrid will give into such demands, with Manchester City and Chelsea now mentioned as potential suitors already.

But even they would surely baulk at Ronaldo’s buy-out clause, which stands at a mind-boggling £1,000,000,000!

Blackburn want Alan Shearer

Blackburn continue to dawdle on filling up their managerial vacancy after Steve Kean resigned last week.

Tim Sherwood, their initial target, has distanced himself from the job, and the Lancashire club, reportedly, have now moved to convince Alan Shearer to take over at the helm.

This would bring a smile on some disgruntled faces at Blackburn, after the club first sacked Sam Allardyce when he was doing as well as he could, and then forced Steve Kean to resign as well.

Nani to Juventus

Nani has been in the news lately for his poor form for Manchester United, and therefore it comes as no surprise that he has been linked with an exit from the club.

His contract situation is also in trouble, with the winger demanding £120,000 a week in wages and United unwilling to accept that figure due to his lacklustre performances.

Juventus seem to be interested, but are unlikely to meet United’s £24 million valuation.

Aguero and Mancini complain about ‘foreigner bias’

After the racism saga of recent weeks, it seems it is the turn of ‘foreigners’ to make news, with Manchester City’s Roberto Mancini and Sergio Aguero claiming to be victims.

Mancini indicated that when asked about his earlier argument with Paul Lambert in the clash against Aston Villa in the Capital One Cup, hinting at a bias because he was Italian.

He also dragged Sir Alex Ferguson into the argument, saying that managers never argued with the Scot at Old Trafford.

Curse of San Siro ends

The ‘Curse of the San Siro’ has finally ended after Inter Milan’s 2-1 victory against Fiorentina.

The story started after both San Siro teams Inter and A.C Milan had failed to win at the newly-renovated stadium since the start of the season.

That has finally been put to bed it seems, and maybe now the Milanese teams will put up better performances in coming days.
