After failing to break into the first team yet again, he moved to Chelsea for £70 million with the reputation of being one of the most prolific goalscorers in Europe. His transfer fee broke a few records. He went on the become the most expensive Spanish player to play in the Premier League as well as being Chelsea's record signing.
