Loyalty has always been an interesting part in football. There are a few players who love and respect their club more than any other. Let’s take a look at six of those players who are loyal to their respective clubs.

1. Carles Puyol (Barcelona)

The Spanish defender played his debut match for Barcelona in 1999. Since then, he has become an important part of the Catalan club. He has helped Barcelona win multiple trophies. The Barcelona captain and centre-back has pledged that he will end his career at his present club only. When talking about defending, Puyol is always the first choice for FC Barcelona. Many clubs want to lure the centre-back away, but the defender, who has 99 caps with his international side, Spain, wants to stay with the Catalan club forever.

2. Steven Gerrard (Liverpool)

He has great reflexes that has helped Real Madrid win many key matches. He wishes to end his career with Los Blancos.

4. Ryan Giggs (Manchester United)

The Welsh midfielder has spent 17 years at Manchester United. He made debut for the Red Devils in 1991. He has dedicated himself to his club and has over 800 appearances for the club. A well-known legend for Manchester United, Giggs was once linked with Inter Milan, but he said that he does not want to leave the club, thus remained loyal to Manchester United. This skilled player has great skills and has proved vital in crucial moments of the game.

5. Frank Lampard (Chelsea)

The hero of Chelsea, who is now linked with an MLS move, started playing for the Blues in 2001, after they lured him from West Ham United. The English midfielder since then has contributed a lot and won major trophies, the most important one being the European Cup. 6. Francesco Totti (AS Roma)

The Italian striker started playing for Roma in 1993. He has made more than 500 appearances for the club and is among the top 10 goalscorers of Serie A. He is an inspiration to his teammates.
