The 2012 Golden Foot candidates will be officially presented on Monday, 4th June on the official website of the prize: www.goldenfoot.com.
Manchester United FC legend and winner of the 2011 Golden Foot award, Ryan Giggs, has been chosen to announce the names of the ten candidates.
Voting is set to start on Monday and will end on Friday, 12th October.
Monte Carlo will play host to the prize-giving ceremony, scheduled on 14th October, this year.
According to the Golden Foot website,
‘The Golden Foot award is an international career award only for at least 29-year-old football players, who stand out for their sport results (both as single players and with their team), for their personality and for the esteem of the public and football experts. The winner is chosen out of a ten nominees list decided by a jury consisting of the Golden Foot media partners representatives and of the fans from all over the world who give their preferential vote through the official site.’
