Twitter is a fun place to monitor on Transfer deadline days with people freaking out about every rumour anyone decides to start. Yes, there were ‘reports from sources’ of a Cristiano Ronaldo transfer this year as well. My particular interest was the buzz around the German Master, Mesut Ozil, moving to Arsenal.
What scares this person most is…well, understandable.
Some fans of rival clubs were in denial about Arsenal spending money.

Most Arsenal fans on Twitter seemed to share his opinion as well. Can’t blame them, with Arsenal losing out on transfer targets in almost all major European countries. And then there were the eternally hopeful.
Some expected a lot of heartbreaks later in the day,
A majority of the tweets were surprisingly from ManUtd fans, and not Arsenal. This was after reports of Sky suggesting that Manchester United were in talks with Ozil as well. While Manchester United reportedly denied that they were in the fight, fans have come to distrust any denials in recent years.
