The English Premier logo is one that is readily identifiable by most football fans. The logo, pictured below, shows a lion with his left paw on the ball and a crown on his head; it is a symbol of the growing popularity of the EPL.
But is it possible that the design of this popular logo was influenced by a memorial from some forgotten part of the world? Take the case of the pictures below:
Eerily similar to the EPL logo, isn’t it? This isn’t a relic from the days of Cleopatra. It is in fact a memorial reef off the coast of Florida where the remains of those who have departed are laid to rest. The Neptune Society, the company which takes care of cremated remains, mixes them with cement, places them in moulds, and then adds them to the scenery 60 feet below the water off the coast of Key Biscayne, Florida.
It is of course possible that the EPL logo was a product of its own and not derived from the handsomely crafted memorial pictured above. But the more you gaze at the memorial, the more you think that the logo is indeed inspired by it.
