Griezmann is one of Atletico Madrid's greatest No. 7s
Griezmann joined Atletico Madrid in the 2014/15 season and has been wearing the famous No. 7 shirt ever since, following in the footsteps of Diego Forlan to become another iconic No. 7 for the club.

While playing for his country, France, Griezmann has worn either of the No. 11 or the No. 7 over the years, but since last year, has been wearing the No. 7 regularly. He won the 2018 FIFA World Cup with France, while donning the No. 7.
Griezmann is not the traditional No.7 either, he plays as a striker, a withdrawn striker or an attacking midfielder. He is an extremely talented left-footed footballer, who is clinical in front of goal, but also contributes overall to the team – tracking back, tackling, winning the ball, bringing others into play and setting players up.

This has seen him win the Europa League last season and UEFA Super Cup 2018, along with the World Cup. He also has countless individual honours to his name.
Last season, Griezman scored 29 goals from 49 appearances for Atletico Madrid. The Frenchman has consistently scored more than 25 goals every season at Atletico since joining and this certainly makes him one of their greatest No. 7s ever.
This season too, Griezmann has started in style, already finding the net once from the 3 games he has played so far, and after a fantastic World Cup, is expected to shine again.
#7 Note: Griezmann also wore the No. 7 jersey at Real Sociedad for 4 seasons before joining Atletico Madrid.

Inspired by Diego Maradona, Deepungsu played as an attacking midfielder for his local club at subdivision level in his initial years and scored an important goal or two. However, his all-time favorite footballer is Lionel Messi, and evidently, he feels Argentina's glory in 2022 is his favorite FIFA World Cup moment for fulfilling his long-standing dream. He is also an ardent East Bengal fan.

Unsurprisingly, his favorite manager is Sir Alex Ferguson and the Scotsman helped him get through some of the toughest days of his life. Despite believing in Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to create an iconic rivalry, Deepungsu reckons no one can match the longevity of Messi and Ronaldo. He spends his leisure time writing about life on his blog, reading books, and playing the guitar.
