Theo Walcott: A player who deserves applause

Ad

This is an article that relates a thought which is largely against the criticism on Theo Walcott. It’s my impression of the England man, and about how I feel he could play a massive role in the future of Arsenal and what makes me think that he could be up there.

Theo Walcott is an average player who lacks the quality that Arsenal demand, yet so far in his time at Arsenal, he has done more than his set of abilities could let him achieve, something that Arsene Wenger admires a lot in a player.

Theo Walcott often finds himself erratic most of the time in a game, but that is just the hardwork he puts himself through to find those awesome moments of brilliance for which he is admired by the likes of Lionel Messi and Pep Guardiola. This is the attitude that sets you apart from the rest and this can make him a great player, someday in the future.

Maybe of late, Theo has been testing the patience of the fans with a consistent display of lackluster performances, some of these fans want him out of the club and a few of them are sick of his naivety.

He is finding it hard to put himself in the right position, or rather you could say he is finding it hard to do it all by himself, but is trying to adopt a new dimension to his game, the one that suits the post- Fabregas Arsenal and this is evident if you look at those moments of brilliance (against Swansea) and the erratic moments of hardwork which gets you goals sometimes (against Aston Villa).

This is my impression of Theo Walcott and this is why I always applaud his efforts instead of moaning at his failure, and I want him to stay at the club (I don’t know what his agent is up to). That is all I have to say. Theo Walcott is a player who deserves applause.
