Chelsea’s on loan goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has admitted that his future is still unclear and he has immense respect for Chelsea’s No.1 Petr Cech. Courtois says that returning back to London and competing for the No.1 spot with Cech will not be a good deal, and admitted that his future is still unclear.
Speaking to BBC Sport, Courtois said, "I have the biggest respect for Petr Cech. He is one of the best goalkeepers in the world so I think putting him and me in the same team is not the healthiest thing in the world,”
“The two of us want to play everything. Nobody will be happy to play in only the League Cup or FA Cup. Things are unclear at the moment.
"We will see in the next week if we can sit together with Chelsea to find something for next year, find out what they want, what my desire is. We will see."
Courtois is playing his third consecutive season with Atletico Madrid, after David De Gea’s departure from the Spanish capital to Manchester United, and might as well spend a fourth season with the Spanish Champions next season.
Courtois also played against his parent club Chelsea this season in the Champions League semi-final and helped his loan club beat Chelsea and reach the Champions League final.
