Belgian international goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois said on Saturday his English Premier League club Chelsea have said he can stay on loan at Spanish Cup winners Atletico Madrid next season.
The 21-year-old, who made his professional debut for Belgian side Genk when he was just 16, had a superb campaign with Atletico where he won the European Super Cup and the Copa del Rey, which led to him being named Primera Liga goalkeeper of the season.
Courtois, who won the Belgian title with Genk in the 2010/11 season, has been on loan with Atletico since he signed a five year contract with Chelsea in July 2011.
