Thierry Henry is set to join the BBC football pundit team for the FIFA World Cup 2014 which will be held in Brazil. The Frenchman is set to be a part of the BBC’s coverage of World Cup in South America.

As per reports in Daily Mail, Thierry Henry is set to be a part of the presentation team which already includes Gary Lineker, Rio Ferdinand, Clarence Seedorf, Alan Shearer, Phil Neville and Alan Hansen.

The former Arsenal and French striker made his debut as a football pundit on Sky Sports during the midweek coverage of the Champions League. Thierry Henry had said: “I’ve enjoyed playing in World Cups, but to experience it as a fan and studio analyst will be a new, exciting challenge.

“I’ve been fortunate enough to play with and against many of the players taking part, so will look forward to watching their performances this summer.”

According to Daily Mail, former English footballer and host Gary Lineker is very pleased with the appointemnt.

“Thierry is one of the best strikers to have graced the game and really resonates with the British audience after such a successful time at Arsenal. He is full of charisma and brings with him tremendous insight from his career in France, Italy, Spain, England and the USA,” he said.

Theirry Henry is the all-time top scorer for Arsenal, having scored 228 goals for the Gunners. He is currently playing in the MLS for New York Red Bulls.
