Vincent Del Bosque, the Spanish coach, spoke to Telecinco after Spain defeated Finland 2-0 in a crucial World Cup qualifier match. The goals were scored by Alvaro Negredo and Jordi Alba.
Del Bosque answered the press on various topics.
The former Real Madrid coach was asked about the general overview of the game. In a reply, Del Bosque said: “It was a very difficult match, not for the quality that Finland have but because they made us very uncomfortable by playing so tightly and forcing us to play in a very congested half. Every time they launched a counter attack, they broke quickly and caused danger”.
On being asked about Iker Casillas and the things going around with the Goal Mouth of the team, he said: “This isn’t the right time to start a debate. Time will put everything in its place. What goes on at his club is a different matter”.
He further said, “We’ve taken three points and that is the main thing. It was important for us to do that. As France drew their game tonight, this victory puts us three points clear”.
