#1 David Moyes
How about a return home for the man that put the Toffees on the map? Since leaving Goodison Park for his dream job, things haven’t turned out too well for David Moyes. He’s been on the unemployment list since 2018 and many have called for his return during Everton’s tough time without him.
Since 2013, the Merseyside club has been managed by Roberto Martinez, David Unsworth, Ronald Koeman, Sam Allardyce, and of course, Marco Silva. None of those names has come close to replicating the legacy of the Scotsman.
As Everton manager, Moyes won 218 games out of 518 across an 11-year span. He’s a mainstay in Everton history and perhaps their best manager in recent times. He, more than anyone, probably regrets his decision to leave the Toffees, but owner Farhad Moshiri would definitely welcome him back with open arms.
