Having made just two appearances in the Premier League this season, Chelsea’s Demba Ba could be looking for a move away from Stamford Bridge in the New Year.
Ba has accumulated just 136 minutes of league football this campaign and with Villas-Boas looking to sign a new attacker Spurs could prove the perfect escape route for the Senegalese striker.
Fans of the Premier League know exactly how good Ba can be, especially when given a decent spell of first-team football. At Newcastle last season he scored 13 goals in 20 appearances, ending the campaign as the club’s top scorer despite leaving in the January transfer window.
The chance to work under Villas-Boas could be exactly what is needed to re-establish his previous form. A move to Spurs would be ideal for Ba as, it is fair to say, his move to Chelsea has seen limited moments of success.
