The real headline leading up to this match is the return of Cristiano Ronaldo to the club he played for prior to joining Real Madrid. He will obviously receive a positive response from the Manchester United fans, after serving them for almost six years.
There is no doubt about Cristiano Ronaldo being a huge crowd favourite with the Manchester United fans. He won everything there is to win with Manchester United - from Premier League titles, Champions League to Ballon d'Or - and was key to United's success from 2006-09 where he scored around 90 goals in these three seasons.
Cristiano's relationship with Manchester United and with the likes of Sir Alex Ferguson has always been positive and received a hero's welcome when he faced United in his Real Madrid days. He scored 118 goals in 292 appearances for the club, and it will be interesting to see how he performs tonight.
