Liverpool looking for a fresh start

Hello, guys! Sorry I haven’t been posting much, I’ve just been very frustrated by Liverpool’s start to the season busy with schoolwork and just haven’t found the time to do it.

But I guess in the time that I’ve not been writing, not very much has changed. It is also interesting to notice how Liverpool have been doing fairly well in the cups (2-1 against West Brom in the Capital 1 cup after losing to them in the PL is interesting), whilst Shelvey’s performance against Young Boys does give lots of food for thought.

Sahin’s sense of adventure is what we need out of an attacking midfielder as well, given the fact that we have found ourselves without the options in the penalty box once we do actually get the ball forward, with Suarez and sometimes Borini the only men in the box.

Now it’s the case of getting those wins in the Premier League. It’s about not committing too many men into that midfield-edge of the box area, whilst getting enough men forward to support the attack at the same time. Luis Suarez must be trusted, even if he is perhaps one of the most frustrating forwards of this generation, to finish off those chances.

I think this should be how we should line up for the next few games:

ReinaJohnson – Agger (if fit) – Skrtel – EnriqueGerrard – AllenSahinSterling – Borini – Suarez

But I want Suarez to stay high up in front and nearer to that box to play more of an inside forward role. He will then dribble inside and try and unleash some of those ferocious finesse shots of his over the duration of the game.

Gerrard has to stay in a Lucas-esque role, as I think that we need his tackling and his running to stop play, whilst he is more than capable of comfortably distributing the ball out to his midfield colleagues. This allows Sahin to play at the head of the midfield.

Martin Kelly is out for a certain undefined period (but it will be around New Year when we see him return), so I would think that Enrique would return to the fold. I am also surprised that Rodgers hasn’t tried reshuffling. Agger is also capable of playing on the left, and I’m sure anyone out of Kelly, Coates and Carragher are capable of stepping in in the middle.

This will certainly be a fresh start or another false dawn for Liverpool FC. It’s all about turning the performances into results.
