Tito Vilanova may have had Barcelona running through his blood, but there was a time when he left the club to play for various other clubs in his career. One of the clubs he played for was Unió Esportiva Lleida – another club in the Catalan region of Spain.
And in a game against Barcelona, having won an indirect free kick at the very edge of the six-yard box, Vilanova still managed to score in spite of a wall of Barcelona defenders on the goal line.
Vilanova, exuding calm and composure, shot the ball straight up and hit the underside of the crossbar before the ball went in. Ingenious!
