Tolgay issue : Finally verdict comes up

Saikat

After a dilemma of 3 long months, Aussie football star Tolgay Ozbey has finally been released by his former club East Bengal. Today at 6:30pm in the East Bengal club premises, Tolgay got back his token after a meeting held between him and the East Bengal club officials. The report came from the Mohun Bagan club that tomorrow they will sign Tolgay in the IFA office.

Earlier this season, Tolgay left the Red and Gold Brigade and joined the Mariners. Since then a cold war was going on between the archrivals Kolkata East Bengal and Mohun Bagan regarding this Tolgay issue. Both the teams tried to possess Tolgay as their player. After all these efforts from both the teams went wrong, Indian Football Association (IFA) tried their best to make a result on this. Even they have made a 5 members Player’s Status Committee to solve this issue. In the month of July it was decided that Tolgay had to pay a huge amount of fine to East Bengal and had to apologise to East Bengal, but all these activities from IFA went in vain as Mohun Bagan showed their unhappiness, because they thought that IFA was taking the side of East Bengal.

After all this drama, finally the verdict came. It was decided last Saturday by the East Bengal officials that they will ask Tolgay to join them in their club and make a decision. At 7:30pm in a press conference East Bengal General Secretary Mr. Kalyan Majumdar gave a memento to Tolgay and officially revealed that Tolgay has been released by them. Against this release from East Bengal, Tolgay paid a fine of rupees 10 lack 28 thousand 9 hundred and apologised.
