Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos has jumped to add more substance to the speculation surrounding Borussia Dortmund winger Marco Reus’ future. The 25-year-old has been linked with a move away from Dortmund after a disastrous start to the league season. The club lies 15th on the Bundesliga table with 10 points having lost 7 of the 11 matches they have played this season.
During an interview with German newspaper Bild, Kroos said that the superstar had the credentials to succeed anywhere. He named his own club amongst his international team-mate’s possible destinations though it is hard to see him break into a side already boasting the likes of Ronaldo, Bale, Isco and James Rodriguez.
“Dortmund, Barcelona, ??Real or Bayern – Marco Reus will succeed wherever [he chooses to go]. He has the quality, and his contract situation means he is now in demand. He is smart enough to make the right decision.”
The former Borussia Mönchengladbach attacking midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea in a swap deal involving Andre Schurrle. There have also been rumours of an approach from Manchester United.
