#3 Liverpool (six-time Champions League winners) - 122 points
Liverpool created history in the 2021-22 UEFA Champions League, becoming the first English team to win all six group games in a season.
The Reds were already assured of top place in the Group of Death ahead of their Matchday 6 trip to AC Milan. Jurgen Klopp's men recovered from a goal down to create history. In the process, the Serie A leaders finished fourth to bow out of Europe for the season.
Liverpool will now face Serie A holders and two-time champions Inter Milan for a place in the quarter-finals.
The six-time winners have been regulars in the Champions League since 2017-18. Liverpool lost to Real Madrid in the final that season, before going all the way in their next campaign. In 2019-20, the then holders endured a Round of 16 exit, while they were knocked out in the quarter-finals last season.
#2 Manchester City (2021 Champions League finalists) - 124 points
Manchester City were perched in a difficult Champions League group containing PSG this season. However, they managed to win the group ahead of the star-studded Ligue 1 giants. They were assured of finishing atop their group ahead of their Matchday 6 trip to RB Leipzig, where they lost 2-1.
Last season's finalists will now face Sporting Lisbon for a place in the quarter-finals of this edition's competition.
Pep Guardiola's men have been fairly consistent performers in the Champions League in the last few years.
Regulars in the competition since 2011-12, Manchester City made three successive quarter-finals before making the final earlier this year, which they lost to Chelsea. The Citizens lost to Liverpool in 2018, Tottenham Hotspur in 2019 and Olympique Lyon last year.
#1 Bayern Munich (six-time Champions League winners) - 133 points
Bayern Munich have been the epitome of consistency in domestic and European football over the years.
Continuing their impressive start to their 2021-22 campaign, Julian Nagelsman's men breezed through their Champions League group without dropping a game. That made the six-time winners the only team after Real Madrid (2011-12, 2014-15) to register multiple perfect group-stage campaigns in the Champions League.
The serial Bundesliga winners made the Champions League semi-finals in 2018, where they lost to eventual winners Real Madrid. A year later, the Bavarians were dumped out by eventual winners Liverpool in the Round of 16.
However, Bayern bounced back in 2019-20 to become only the second team to win multiple continental trebles. Last season, though, the holders were beaten by PSG in the last eight.
The Bavarian giants will face Austria's RB Salzburg for a place in the 2021-22 Champions League quarter-finals.
