Skill, technique, tenacity and sheer class, it was Philippe Coutinho just being Philippe Coutinho; unstoppable at his rip-roaring best.
The goal put the hosts ahead in the Merseyside derby, but from a greater perspective, the former Inter Milan man truly burnished his credentials as one of the best in the business.
