#9 Patrick Cutrone 93’ (AC Milan 3 - 2 Rijeka) Europa League, 29/09/2017
Patrick Cutrone, the 19-year-old Italian striker, has become a sensation in Italian football. His last-gasp winner helped AC Milan get the better of Rijeka in a UEFA Europa League game.
Milan took the lead in the 14th minute of the game when Andre Silva scored with a beautiful curling effort. Mateo Musacchio's close-range shot made it 2-0 for the home side. The Milanese giants were in control of the game for the first 80 minutes and were leading by a 2-0 goal margin. Then, suddenly something went wrong in Milan's defence.
The visitors had stunningly upturned a two-goal deficit in the last 10 minutes at the San Siro. The scoreline became 2-2 after 90 minutes. However, in the additional minutes, the forward stood up and scored a quick-reflex goal to seal the game for AC Milan. The assist was provided by Fabio Borini who fed him a delightful pass.
This sensational win has helped AC Milan to maintain its top spot in the Group-D of the Europa League. They need just a win to qualify for the Europa League knock-outs.
