Barcelona 6-1 PSG (8 March, 2017)
Barcelona were shocked and embarrassed in a 4-0 defeat to PSG at the Parc des Princes and despite the ability of their players, not many gave them a chance heading into the second leg.
They needed five unreplied goals to qualify and six if PSG scored and despite the heavy odds stacked against them, the Blaugrana defied expectations, with Neymar the star of the show as Barcelona completed an unbelievable remontada.
The Brazilian scored two and assisted two, including for Sergi Roberto's last gasp winner in the 90th minute to spark wild and jubilant scenes at the Camp Nou, while Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi also got on the scorehsheet.
Roma 3-0 Barcelona (10 April, 2018)
A year after Barcelona completed their unbelievable comeback against PSG, they became the victims of another comeback, with AS Roma overturning a 4-1 deficit to progress to the semifinal for the first time in their history.
The difference in stature and quality of both clubs meant that many saw the tie as a mismatch when the draws were made and Barcelona's 4-1 victory in the first leg seemed to give validity to this view.
However, the Italians rallied in the second leg, putting up a resolute display at a packed Stadio Olympico who believed right from kickoff.
Eden Dzeko got the opener in the 10th minute while skipper Danielle de Rossi made it 2-0 from the penalty spot before Kostas Manolas rose highest to head home a cornerkick in the 84th minute to condemn Barcelona to a third consecutive quarterfinal elimination.
