#4 Jonas – 44 (32 goals and 12 assists)
It’s a well-known fact that Brazil are short on quality strikers at the moment, but they may have found a temporary solution in the form of Benfica’s Jonas.
Jonas has been a decent performer at club level throughout his career, but a call-up to the national team was very rare for him. However, the Brazilian’s brilliant form in the domestic games has seen him make his way into Dunga’s plan for the Copa America.
The 32-year-old enjoyed one of the best seasons of his career as he scored a league highest 32 goals to propel Benfica to their third consecutive league title. In addition to his goals, Jonas also assisted 12 more and only his teammate Nicolas Gaitan and Porto’s Miguel Layun have more assists than the Brazilian with 15 each to their name.
With Neymar missing from the squad for the Copa America, this could be the best opportunity for Jonas to become his country’s hero.
