Before Zlatan Ibrahimovic played his last home game for PSG, he said “I came like a king, I leave like a legend” and he had every right to say so. The Swedish International elevated PSG’s status in Europe and played a big role in the French club’s four league titles on the trot.
Ibrahimovic topped the Ligue 1 top scorers chart this season with 38 goals and had a 17 goal lead over Alexandre Lacazette in second place. In fact, the only player in Europe with more goals than the veteran striker is Luis Suarez. What is even more incredible is that Ibrahimovic scored all these goals despite playing just 31 league games!
The Swede also played a big role in terms of assists as he registered 13 to his name. There are only five players in Europe and only one in Ligue 1 with more assists to their name than Ibrahimovic.
