#6 Fabinho
"Other clubs can go out and spend money and collect top players. I want to do it differently. I would even do it differently if I could spend that money," Jurgen Klopp announced confidently in 2016, before going ahead and splurging £163.98m on new players this season.
Fabinho was one of four high-profile arrivals at the Anfield club, along with Naby Keita, Alisson and Xherdan Shaqiri. Having arrived for a fee of £40.50m from Monaco on a four-year deal, Fabinho will slot into the centre of midfield alongside Naby Keita in what is set to be a new-look Reds midfield.
Fabinho spent five years in France with Monaco, helping them to the semi-finals of the Champions League in 2017, and has earned a reputation as a hard-tackling, in-your-face defensive midfielder, not one to shy away from a tackle or two; basically everything Liverpool need in the centre of the park.
