During his time at Chelsea, Ashley Cole was considered one of the best full-backs in the world. But his reputation off the pitch wasn’t the cleanest.
In 2012, the FA had conducted an investigation into the John Terry racial abuse case when one of the commissions doubted Cole’s statement. Cole took to Twitter to say, “Hahahahaa, well done #fa I lied did I, #BUNCHOFTWATS.”
He removed the tweet but FA still punished him and handed him a £90,000 fine.
