The anticipation of EA Sports' latest installment of the franchise, FIFA has reached sky high levels. FIFA 17 is expected to release on September 29 with the full list of player ratings already released on their website.
Unsurprisingly Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are at the pinnacle of the rating list as EA Sports kept teasing the supporters by releasing the ratings for top 50 players in bunches since the last week or so.
In the Premier League, Arsenal and Chelsea rule the roster as both the London clubs have five players each in the top 20 players from English top flight released by EA yesterday. Despite having a dismal 2015-16 season, Chelsea have five players in the top 20 list, with Thibaut Courtois being at the top for Chelsea with a rating of 89.
For the Gunners, Mesut Ozil is their highest rated player at 89 and the German is also the third on the list.
Manchester City follow the London clubs with four of their players being in the top 20. Sergio Aguero is their highest rated player at 89 with Kevin De Bruyne closely following at 88. City's city rivals United are next with three of their players in the top 20.
David De Gea is the highest rated goalkeeper from Premier League at 90 while new signing Paul Pogba is rated 88. Another of United's new signing, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is the number one ranked player in FIFA 17 from the Premier League.
Spurs, despite having a successful last season, have just one player in Hugo Lloris who is rated 88 in the latest edition. Liverpool too, have just one player who is rated 85, in the top 50 players in FIFA 17.
Leicester even after winning the league don't have a single player in the top 20. Riyad Mahrez just misses out after being given a rating of 85.
Let's take a look at the top 20 ranked players from the Premier League:
20. Philippe Coutinho: 85
The Brazilian maestro is ranked 20th as it promises to be a delight to play with the pocket dynamo. Using skills with Coutinho and scoring a stunner from long range promises to be a lot of fun on FIFA 17.
19. Willian: 85
In a disappointing season for the Blues, Willian was one of the few shining lights for Chelsea. His free kick ratings must have boomed after he scored five goals from set pieces in all competitions.
18. Diego Costa: 85
Another Chelsea player in the list, Costa managed to hit double figures last season and has started this season on a high under Antonio Conte. Costa scored winners in two games against West Ham and Watford.
17. Laurent Koscielny: 85
The Frenchman has seen an upgrade in his rating after reaching the final of Euros held in his homeland. He is the second highest rated defender from the Premier League.
16. Dimitri Payet: 86
After an impressive first season for the Hammers, Payet has seen one of the highest increase in his rating from last season. Gamers will try West Ham just for playing with Payet.
15. Vincent Kompany: 86
Though after missing majority of the 2015-16 season, Kompany is still the highest ranked defender in the Premier League.
14. Cesc Fabregas: 86
Fabregas had a good second half of the season under Guus Hiddink but may see his rating fall gradually if Antonio Conte decides to not give him a start.
13. Santi Cazorla: 86
The Spanish maestro is ranked much higher than expected as he too had an indifferent 2015-16 season for the Gunners.
12. David Silva: 87
Silva had not been able to produce consistent performances last season but has started to perform at his usual best under Pep Guardiola.
11. Alexis Sanchez: 87
Another Arsenal player on the list, Sanchez has always been one of the best players to play with, in FIFA. He must improve his performances if the Chilean wants to break into the top 10.
10. Hugo Lloris: 88
Spurs club captain, Lloris is the only player included from Tottenham. Lloris is the third best ranked keeper from the Premier League.
9. Paul Pogba: 88
United's new signing made his way straight into the top 10 as the commanding midfielder promises to be a treat to play with.
8. Kevin De Bruyne: 88
De Bruyne is the third highest ranked Belgian in the list as he looks settled in Manchester with Guardiola at the helm.
7. Eden Hazard: 88
Though he was disappointing last campaign, Hazard has bounced back well this season. If Hazard continues his good run in this season, he can be the no.1 ranked player from the Premier League in FIFA 18.
6. Petr Cech: 88
Second highest ranked Gunner on the list, Cech has always been one of the top most ranked keepers in the FIFA world.
5. Sergio Aguero : 89
Aguero will look to have another stellar season for City as along with Hazard, the Argentine can also become the no.1 ranked player next season.
4. Thibaut Courtois: 89
Courtois' high rating may come as a shock for many people after he had a disappointing season for the Blues. But that does not change the fact that he is one of the best young keepers in the world.
3. Mesut Ozil: 89
Ozil is the no.1 ranked player from all the London clubs after a decent last campaign.
2. David De Gea: 90
Manchester United's keeper is the second highest ranked keeper in the world behind Manuel Neuer. De Gea deserves every bit of his high rating.
1. Zlatan Ibrahimovic: 90
The veteran after arriving in August has already been ranked as the number 1 player in FIFA 17 to play in the Premier League. Manchester United are going to be one hell of a team in FIFA 17 with Zlatan, Pogba, Rooney and Mkhitaryan in one team.
