Roma completed the signing of Argentina attacking midfielder, Javier Pastore, from Paris St-Germain for a reported fee of £21.8m. The 29-year-old is a great addition to the squad and is an experienced player with great ability and will fit the style of the club.
Pastore is Roma's eighth signing of the summer. He joins on the same day as the club announced deals for defender Davide Santon and midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo, who have arrived from Inter Milan. While Belgium midfielder, Radja Nainggolan, went the other way. Ante Coric an attacking midfielder from Dinamo Zagreb, William Bianda a center back from Lens, Grégoire Defrel a center-forward from Sassullo, Bryan Cristante a midfielder from Atlanta and Iván Marcano a center back from Porto, all joined the Roma ranks to fill up various position across the field in the squad.
Roma also completed the signing of winger Justin Kluivert from Ajax on Friday, which is a huge coup for the side. Marco Tumminello, Juan Iturbe, Lukasz Skorupski, and Erwin Zukanovic are all big name departures from the club. With all the new recruits rounding up the squad, Roma has built a solid setup to choose from.
Eusebio De Francesco has negotiated some very good deals and could embark on a strong season after a brilliant previous campaign. With a good squad filled with talented players, competing for positions, Roma head into the season as one of the three clubs who could lift the title, along with Juventus and Napoli.
