When it comes to choosing goalkeepers in Fantasy Premier League, managers can adopt one of two strategies: invest in one premium goalkeeper and play him throughout the season or buy two budget goalkeepers who you can you interchangeably as per their fixtures.
We've looked in to both strategies and after a lot of stats digging and deliberation, we have attempted to put together a list of 3 goalkeepers who could be popular among FPL managers for the forthcoming season.
For the sake of covering all bases, we've included two premier goalkeepers and a budget option, in an attempt to facilitate all FPL managers.
#1 Alisson Becker - £6 million
The Brazilian shot-stopper joined Liverpool for a world record fee at the time, which was eclipsed by Chelsea's capture of Kepa Arrizabalaga a few days later.
Alisson's transfer fee raised a lot of eyebrows but the Brazilian silenced all his doubters with his performances last season, spearheading Liverpool to European glory and Brazil to the Copa America crown.
The 26 year-old registered as many clean sheets as goals conceded in all competitions last season (36) and won the golden glove in the Champions League, Premier League as well as the Copa America.
He was the top scoring goalkeeper in the game last season, registering 176 points as Liverpool finished second, behind Manchester City.
Despite being the highest priced goalkeeper in the game alongside countryman Ederson, £6 million is a fair price to pay for a player of his qualities.
#2 Ederson Moraes - £6 million
Another Brazilian on the list, Ederson was in scintillating form as Manchester City went on to seal an historic domestic treble.
The 25 year-old's ball-playing ability was a crucial feature of Pep Guardiola's philosophy as the Cityzens went on to tally a staggering 98 points in the Premier League.
Since joining from Benfica two summers ago, the Brazilian has won 5 titles in England and he'll be one of the first names on the team sheet as Guardiola's men look to make three Premier League titles on the bounce.
Ederson registered 169 bonus points last season and being one of two goalkeepers priced at £6 million, he'll on the minds of FPL managers looking to invest in a premium player between the sticks.
#3 Lukasz Fabianksi - £5 million
Lukasz Fabianki is a household name in the Premier League. Previously on the books of Arsenal and Swansea, the Polish shot-stopper was snapped up by Manuel Pellegrini after the Welsh club suffered relegation at the end of the 2017/18 season.
Fabianski's stop-stopping ability is amongst the best in the country and although West Ham aren't particularly tight at the back, the Pole is constantly on the receiving on the end of save points and in turn, he also racks up bonus points in abundance.
At £5 million, he could be the one to turn to if managers decide against going for one of the big money goalkeepers.
With increase in the prize of premium players, selecting goalkeepers in particular have given FPL managers a major headache this season.
Two of our picks in Alisson Becker and Ederson Moraes represent safe options as Manchester City and Liverpool look set to carry on from where they left off last season and Fabianski's exploits last season coupled with his sensational shot-stopping ability makes him a very decent option.
Right then, we've made our picks but who will you be turning to this season between the sticks?
