#3 Isco
Francisco Román Alarcón Suárez, commonly known as 'Isco', got his breakthrough in the Real Madrid starting XI due to Gareth Bale's frequent injuries.
Isco grabbed these opportunities with great aplomb, and proved himself as one of the finest players in the world. Due to this, whenever Bale returned from injuries, he had to spend time on the bench to let Isco start - as he did in the final of this year's Champions League.
Isco is also considered the talisman for his national side - Spain, and has really impressed everyone in the past couple of years.
Isco is a naturally gifted creative play-maker with great close ball dribbling techniques, and is also regarded as one of the best attacking midfielders in the world at the moment.
New Real Madrid boss Julen Lopetegui rates Isco very highly from his time as the Spanish national team coach. Isco has benefited from Lopetegui's style of play, and this is one of the main reasons he is expected to become the club's main man next season.
Only time will tell which player will prove to be Real Madrid's next talisman, but one thing is sure - the side has got great talented players who are raring to go, and Cristiano Ronaldo's departure will not hurt them as much as it's seen on paper.
